Here at Genesee Valley we are a community that believes in helping and preserving the environment. Our commitment to practices such as recycling, composting, and Leave No Trace are tireless and thorough. We also purchase and use organic supplies from Melaleuca, who provide non-toxic cleaning agents to organic toothpaste. Our staff members enjoy some of these products for personal use and Genesee Valley uses them to clean the facilities. They are just as effective as your common everyday products, only they don't hurt the environment in which we all live. As an added bonus to you, we offer membership to Melaleuca through Genesee Valley. It supports us, the non-profit, and helps protect the environment. Leave No Trace is an national and international program designed to assist outdoor enthusiasts with their decisions about how to reduce their impacts when they hike, camp, picnic, snowshoe, run, bike, hunt, paddle, ride horses, fish, ski or climb. The program strives to educate all those who enjoy the outdoors about the nature of their recreational impacts as well as techniques to prevent and minimize such impacts. Leave No Trace is best understood as an educational and ethical program, not as a set of rules and regulations.
