Getting Involved

DAY OF GIVING
Genesee Valley’s third "Day of Giving" is Sunday, October 7, 2007! Join GVOLC staff, family, friends and community members for a rewarding day of volunteer projects that help to maintain and beautify our property! Volunteers can choose from a variety of projects including painting, gardening and general property maintenance.

Aside from being a great way to show your support for Genesee Valley, Day of Giving is a great time to revisit old friends, make new ones and raise money for our programming. Volunteers can also earn community service hours! Lunch will be provided for volunteers, as well as child care for those with little ones. Climbing and zip lines will also be open for volunteers before we top the day off with a benefit dinner and raffle.

Day of Giving volunteers have made great contributions to Genesee Valley. During our first and second Day of Giving, we painted murals in our buildings, painted bathroom facilities, planted trees and flowers all around the property and vegetables in our garden, built new paths and repaired trails. All while having a lot of fun and getting to know a lot of great people!

Please come out and show your support for your friends, your community, and for your earth. If you have any questions do not hesitate to call Kat Fiskum at 410.343.0138 or e-mail at kfiskum@geneseevalley.org Please R.S.V.P if possible.
