Facilitators at Genesee Valley Outdoor Learning Center are responsible for facilitating groups of 10 to 12 participants through various initiatives, team based activities, and problem solving on our low ropes course. The goal of the morning is to establish group cohesion and “thinking outside of the box” mindset. Following lunch, facilitators will utilize our high ropes challenge course to challenge participants to step outside their comfort zone.
This position entails the ability to facilitate high and low ropes course elements with efficiency in debriefing skills (learned in 2 week training). This included belaying, ziplines, and rescues.
Ability to engage with participants of all ages and backgrounds, lead initiatives & activities while inviting them to explore nature and their surroundings. Create a positive space where participants can learn without judgement, embrace adventure and be themselves.
