Ways to Give
Your donation to Genesee Valley allows us to grow our reach and expands the opportunity to provide quality learning experiences that promote growth and nourish the development of individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
Ways to Give
Setting up monthly giving allows you to provide ongoing support to GVOLC in a manner that aligns with your personal budget. Monthly giving is set up as a reoccurring gift and you will receive notice of the payment from your financial institution. Your annual gift receipt will provide you with a total donation amount for the calendar year.
Monthly
Pledges
Pledges allow you to demonstrate a longer term commitment to GVOLC and provide an opportunity for an expanded partnership with our mission. Multi-year pledges can be set up through monthly donations or annual gifts.
Matching Gifts
Many employers will offer to match your gift or pledge, and you will receive the credit for the contribution. Check with your company’s Human Resources Department for more information on matching gifts.
Appreciated Stock
Appreciated Stock can provide an attractive means of giving. By gifting the stock to GVOLC, you will be making a charitable contribution and avoid paying capital gains tax, thereby increasing the value of your gift.
Life Insurance
GVOLC may be named as the beneficiary or owner of an insurance policy. The latter method may provide attractive income tax benefits.
Qualified Charitable Distribution
A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) allows individuals who are 70½ years old or older to donate up to $105,000 annually to GVOLC directly from a taxable IRA instead of taking their required minimum distributions.
Retirement Accounts
You may name GVOLC as the beneficiary of your retirement accounts. When an individual inherits a non-Roth IRA, the distribution is taxable income. A charity can receive the IRA income tax-free.
Sponsorship
The annual Tom LaMonica 5K is a sponsorship opportunity for businesses to support our scholarship fund.
In-Kind
GVOLC accepts in-kind non-cash services, materials, and space as donations that support the organizations mission and operations.
Amazon Wish List
You can support Genesee Valley by making a purchase from our Amazon Wish List. You place the order through this link and the items ship to us directly.
United Way
You can support Genesee Valley through your company's United Way of Central Maryland campaign. Our designation/ book number is # 2091
GVOLC recognizes all donations, regardless of amount as a contribution to our mission. All donors receive a receipt for their donations and are recognized in our Annual Report.
Recognition
Rooted In Connection
CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
All donors above $5,000 will be recognized on the donor wall in the lobby of The Gathering Place.
All donations above $100,000 will have 10% of the donation amount placed in our Endowment Fund for the future maintenance needs of the campus.
Naming opportunities are available for The Gathering Place, The Learning Garden and The Memorial Garden. Please reach out for additional details.
