Packing list:

  • Water Bottle (campers will be able to re-fill water bottles on site

  • Clothes that are comfortable and can get dirty

  • Comfortable walking shoes or sandals with a heel strap (no flip flops, crocs are HIGHLY discouraged!)

  • Sunglasses / hat / sunscreen

  • Lunch (non-refrigerated)

  • Swimsuit and towel (campers will swim each day)

  • Optional: Extra clothing/extra shoes (shoes will get wet)

  • Rain jacket

  • Backpack / tote bag to carry items

Do not send your camper with:

  • Electronic Devices

  • Items that can be considered weapons

    • Knives, multi-tools, swords, firearms

    • Matches, lighters

  • Tobacco, alcohol, illegal drugs

Technology:

Genesee Valley is a technology free camp. We feel that devices prevent children from becoming full immersed in nature and experiences. Please keep valuables and devices at home. Genesee Valley is not liable for any damages, missing, or broken devices. Your camper will be asked to keep any technology in their bag or in our office.

Senior Camp Overnight packing list:

Genesee Valley will provide: tents, Thursday dinner, Friday breakfast and Friday lunch. If your camper has any dietary restrictions that we may not be aware of (vegetarian, gluten free, vegan, etc) please let us know ASAP so we can try to accommodate them for meals.

Required Items:

Sleeping bag & pillow, Sleeping Pad, Flashlight, Backpack or bag that can hold all gear, Mug/cup & Water Bottle, Change of Clothes, Rain jacket/ Warm Clothes, Mess kit (silverware and bowl), Pajamas, Hygiene products/toiletries

Optional Items:

Frisbee/Ball, Playing Cards, Camera, Paper and pen/markers, book, board game

Prohibited Items*

Lighters/matches, Weapons, Electronics (cell phones, games, ipods, etc.), Alcohol, Tobacco, Illicit Drugs 

*Possession or use of any of the above items is under a strict zero-tolerance policy. Parent/Guardian will be contacted and asked to retrieve camper immediately.
